LaunchSource is changing the way professionals begin their careers. By connecting recent graduates with high-growth companies, they’ve sourced over a hundred candidates to great jobs – all at no cost to the candidates.
LaunchSource found itself in need of a new website to accommodate its diverse base of candidates and corporate clients. They needed to solve a key problem: How to clearly communicate to two audiences without muddling the message?
From a design perspective, we began by simplifying and streamlining the color palette. To complement the teal in the Launchsource logo, we incorporated orange as a secondary color. We extended this streamlining process to the typeface, as well.
We then began exploring the information architecture, identifying content opportunities that had previously not been developed. To create the best user experience possible, we segmented candidate and employer audiences into distinct user pathways. This segmentation encompassed virtually the entire site, from the homepage, blog page (with extensive filter options), and all major calls to action.
We also saw a major opportunity to improve the candidate application process. Using Typeform, we developed an interactive, millennial-friendly submission workflow that was simple, fun, and 100% responsive.
To improve the case studies, which had previously existed only as PDFs, we repurposed the blog page layout. By integrating case studies directly onto the site, we improved the browsing experience while saving time and budget. To cap things off, we created the paper airplane animation on the homepage to add personality from the very first impression.
